Backups are kept on the server itself and also on external storage on a separate system, so they are safe even if the server has a serious problem.
Restoring a backup
In your panel, go to Backups. There you can see the available backups and:
- Download the full backup to your computer.
- Restore only what you need: a website, a database, a mailbox…
Recommendations
- Before big changes (updating WordPress, changing theme, installing plugins), download a backup or create one from the panel.
- Backups you keep inside your website use your plan's space: better to download them to your computer.
- No backup replaces keeping your own copy of what matters most.
